Dance

At the core of the Dance program formed in September of 2017 is the intensive study of technique in addition to foundational classes in ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. Conditioning is a key component of development as a dancer and artist. Health along with nutrition are included in the curriculum.

High School Dance Course includes:

  • Ballet
  • Jazz
  • Modern
  • Hip-Hop
  • Conditioning
  • Musical Theater

The department has performance opportunities depending on age and level of expertise. These include Christmas at the Ridge, Musical Theatre Productions, Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting, and Spring Recital.

Co-curricular opportunities are Dance Teams that are the spirit squad for basketball and make appearances during football season and pep rallies. For the 2019-2020 school year, the following squads will hold auditions in March 2019: Middle School Dance Team, JV Tigerettes and Varsity Tigerettes.

The Fine Arts Academy offers after-school technique classes in ballet, jazz and musical theatre for Pre-K - 12th grade students. The Academy dance program does not have a studio competition schedule or costume fees.
