Academic Spotlight: Biblical Integration (4th grade classes)

At King’s Ridge Christian School, teachers are continually equipped through professional development to thoughtfully weave biblical truth into every subject they teach. In fourth grade, students are experiencing how faith connects to learning in meaningful and creative ways. Here are three examples:
During their mystery unit, students practiced making inferences and applied those skills to scripture by becoming “mystery detectives” as they explored Jesus’ parables. After uncovering the lessons within each story, they created posters to teach their peers about the parables’ deeper meaning and application.

As part of their writing studies, students researched the meaning behind their own names while learning about the many names of Jesus found in the Bible. This connection helped them see how God’s Word shapes identity and purpose.

In their realistic fiction writing unit, students developed characters who face challenges such as fear, unkindness, or exclusion, then identified Bible verses that could guide their characters through those struggles. We are blessed by our passionate and talented teachers and how they pour into our students! Thanks to Mrs. Price’s and Mrs. Van Winkle’s classes for giving us a peek into their day!
