Monday, May 12: KRCS Golf Classic at White Columns Country Club. Registration is now closed.
Tuesday, May 13, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Lower School New Parent Meeting. Parents of rising Pre-K – 4th grade students new to KRCS are invited to join Mrs. Daugherty, Associate Head of Lower School, in the Lower School Dining Hall. She will review policies and procedures for Lower School as we head into summer. Parents with current siblings are welcome to attend if you need a refresher!
Tuesday, May 13: 2nd Grade In-House Field Trip – Elachee Nature Center. Homeroom teachers will communicate details.
Wednesday, May 14:  Middle School Golf Meeting (Rising 5th – 8th Grade Boys and Girls), 3:10 PM at the Middle School, Wade Mayton’s Classroom. 
  • New and returning players are encouraged to attend as the season will be moving to the fall for the 2025-2026 school year, and the coaches will have some helpful information to share.
  • Rising 5th-8th grade boys and girls are welcome, along with parents. 
  • Tryouts are currently scheduled for the week of August 18.

Thursday, May 15: “Brewing Community” Event: FREE COFFEE? YES, PLEASE! ?
  • Parents, you are the heart of our community, and we want to treat YOU!
  • Swing by Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck in the back lot of the Lower School from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM on Thursday, May 15,  and enjoy a free cup of coffee on us—just because we love and appreciate all you do.
  • Whether you’ve got a few extra minutes or just need a quick pick-me-up, this moment is for YOU!
Thursday, May 15: Student Council Fun Thursday. Student Council has voted on a dress-down theme and fun food for this day. The dress-down theme is “Dress Like Your Parent,” and the fun food treat at lunchtime is milkshakes!
Friday, May 16: Kindergarten/Pre-1st Musical, 8:15 AM. Join us as Kindergarten and Pre-1st perform in the LS gymnasium. Coffee will be available in the Dining Hall for guests who arrive early.  There will be no afternoon Chapel this day.
Monday, May 19: 3rd Grade Lemonade Wars. Pre-K – 4th grade students will participate in this economics activity, which also serves as a fundraiser benefiting childhood cancer through Alex’s Lemonade Stand. See more information at https://www.alexslemonade.org/.  
  • If you would like your child to participate, please send them in with no more than $2.00 in coins (no bills, please). 
  • They will be purchasing from the lemonade stand of their choice.

Tuesday, May 20: LS End of the Year Parties. Homeroom teachers will communicate details.
  • This is a “Summer Fun Attire” dress-down day. Students may wear summer outfits or t-shirts with jeans, athletic pants, or shorts with sneakers for PE and recess (no sandals).
  • Please be sure dresses, skirts, and shorts are the appropriate fingertip length.
  • The 4th Grade EOY party will have a special schedule with carpool dismissal at the Student Center.  4th grade teachers will communicate details.
  • Pre-K parties are scheduled in the morning; K – 3rd parties are at 1:45 PM.They will be outside, weather permitting.
  • Rainy Day Plan: The parties will take place in the classrooms.
Wednesday, May 21: 4th Grade Promotion Ceremony,  9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Parents and students will line the hallways at 9:15 AM for the 4th grade walk-through. Carpool dismissal for Lower School students starts at 10:45 AM. This is a formal uniform day with no After Care available.
Thursday, May 22: Popsicles & Play for Pre-K & K, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM. This is a time for new and current families with 2025-2026 rising Pre-K and Kindergarten students to meet in the Lower School gymnasium and spend time together. Teachers and administrators will be present to answer any questions you have about the upcoming school year.

LS Spring Casual Photos are Ready! – To view your child’s photos, visit the Bryan White Photography website at https://www.bryanwhitephotography.art and scroll down until you see “Schools + Sports”.  Click on “Order Photos” and enter your child’s classroom code, which is “KRCS-(teacher last name)” with no spaces.  You can find the codes and instructions on the brochure HERE.

Summer Camps – The KRCS 2025 Summer Camp Program is open to the community and offers something for everyone.
Security – For enhanced security at the Lower School building, parents should not use the back door as an entrance during the regular school day. After morning carpool has ended, parents and visitors should enter through the front door and check in at the front desk. We will use the front and back doors during Lower School events and Friday Chapels.
